Hi, I'm Katy — the owner, designer, occasional photographer, customer service department, shipping team, and occasional late-night bead untangler behind Max & Margaux.
What started as a creative outlet designing my own jewelry has grown into a business I truly love. I didn't have formal training in product design or manufacturing. Instead, I learned through countless hours of research, trial and error, and what I like to call the "School of Hard Knocks." I taught myself how to source materials, work with manufacturers, and bring original designs to life from a simple idea.
Along the way, I accidentally discovered a passion for creating locally inspired accessories and unique statement pieces that celebrate the places, teams, and traditions we love. Today, every collection is thoughtfully designed with the goal of creating pieces that feel special year after year—not just for a single season.
I'm not interested in fast fashion. I believe in quality, intentional design, and creating accessories that become favorites you reach for again and again. Whether it's a piece of jewelry, a hand-beaded strap, or a game day accessory, I want it to feel like a little treasure in your collection.
